The Voice of Love
Tuesday, 1/21/2014 Welcome to 2014!  I took a little time off to take a look at where we started with this and what direction I should go with it.  After much introspection looking to GOD/Holy Spirit for direction, I received it in letters from my sister.  In the letter, she responded with the differences and sameness of our beliefs and it seemed to me that the message I was trying to get out may not have been entirely heard. There are a thousand different ways to Spiritual Ascendency (going back to GOD).  My way may not be what’s best for you.  But I do hope that it will stimulate your own search or if you have already found your way, help you to crystalize it. Some of the things I said in the 3 part message of the Voice of Love, I feel are truths and some are my beliefs.  Which are the truths and which are the beliefs???  LOL I’m not going to make it that easy for you.  Listen to your heart, not your head and you’ll know the truths.  Ask the Holy Spirit to help you to identify your truths, and they will be revealed to you.  So one last time, I’m not trying to convert anyone and I’m not putting down anyone’s religion because that religion may be the way that brings you enlightenment if you truly believe in GOD through that religion and choose LOVE not FEAR.  So that is all I’m going to say about that. Sis, I know you didn’t really say all that but after what you did say in the letters, I was led to explain it further.  Thanks! Gratitude!  It’s a wonderful thing!  The best attitude is Gratitude for having a wonderful day or year.  As we go through this following year 2014, let’s think of the wonderful things, talents, skills, health, friends, family, jobs, we DO HAVE and not magnify the liabilities that exist in our lives. If only the people who worry about their liabilities would think about the riches they do possess, they would stop worrying. Dale Carnegie The friends we have and in most cases wonderful family members are riches beyond compare.  Your health is something to treasure, there are many that would trade you for the health you have today.  But if you don’t have health or family or friends there are surely some inner traits or talents that you possess that are riches in themselves.  You may be able to see in to some ones heart to read more than they are saying.  You may have an instinct in how to shop for the best deal or know what others need and have the ability to sometimes provide or answer those needs. The gifts of the mind are many and varied and you just can’t buy these gifts so be thankful and grateful for the gifts you have.  As you know, many of us don’t have some of those wonderful gifts. Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it. William Arthur Ward When eating bamboo sprouts, remember the man who planted them. Chinese Proverb Is there someone you feel grateful for whether it is because they did something for you or because they were there when you needed them or just because they are your friend/family and you love them.  Don’t wait too long, tell them right away how thankful you are that they are in your life.  You’ll make this a wonderful day for them and you’ll feel good also.  But don’t forget those that do things for us every day.  The bus driver, the waitress or food server, the bus boy, the paper boy, the doorman, I think you get the idea, let’s not forget to thank them.  I know they are getting paid, but there are different ways to do a job and when we feel people are grateful for the job we do, we do a better job. Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul. Henry Ward Beecher Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust A thankful heart is the greatest virtue. Cicero One last thing about Gratitude, it is powerful.  It not only changes your life but changes the lives of those to whom you extend the gratitude.  Watch how it changes yourself and those to whom you extended it.  Act with power and thank those around you, be a life changing catalyst in your world during 2014. Thank you always for listening, choose LOVE NOT FEAR! Love and Blessings, Sunday, 6/8/2014 Hi, Loved Ones and Friends!  It’s been a while since we spoke and a lot has happened.  My computer crashed and the software that I used to do this webpage was lost.  I also lost the information for uploading to my server since I had it safely in old emails (LOL).  To say I was a little upset would be accurate, I knew with perseverance I could find the disk that the software was on, but then I needed the activation keys for the software which I had to get from the company in England (that just happened to be having problems with their service ticketing program and were in the middle of updating the whole program).  Then I needed to get the info for the hosting servers so I could update the website.  Piece of cake, right?   Yeah, sure! Anyway, all of that is done and I have the info duplicated in a safe place in case that happens again.  So we are back! We are going to be changing the format of the web page in the future to allow easy access to the more important topics we covered last year and hopefully some input from you.  We are also going to start off with topics about how to continue evolving spiritually in a busy working environment and conitnue holding on to the peace, love and joy that GOD wants for you. I’m excited about the new format and hope that you like the changes you see.  If you have any suggestions, please send us an email at 1stonecircle@gmail.com.  We will be posting some of the emails in the future also on a section called the Reader’s Wall.  We will be speaking again very soon.  But I want to leave you with one word.  TRUST!!!  It’s the foundation of everything in your relationship with GOD and each other.  More on this next time. Love and Blessings,  Sunday, 6/22/2014 Trust!  Easier to say then to do, but trust is the keystone for any loving relationship.  There is nothing better then to be able to spend time with someone that you know will not throw your words back at you to hurt you in the future, will not judge the way you feel or think at that moment, will unconditionally Love you, want the best for you, and support you in endeavors that build your spirit.  This is GOD!  Your Creator, Our Father! No one gladly obeys a guide he does not trust...ACIM Often we think, “why did GOD do this to me?” But it’s not GOD that did it to us!  Before we came into life on this material plane, we made choices.  Choices about what we needed to experience, what we wanted to accomplish, and who we would do it with.  GOD allows these free choices as he has trust in us and Loves us.  He is there to help us and if you listen, you will know you are not going through these experiences alone.  His SPIRIT is always with us and will guide us through our darkest hours. His trust has made your pathway certain and your goal secure.  ACIM Many times in our darkest hours, we just don’t understand.  “Why me?”  or “Why am I going through this?”  There is always a plan, a bigger picture, although we may not see it since we are so close to it.  A good example is the story of Joseph in the Bible.  Joseph was favored by his father Jacob and his many brothers (leaders of the future tribes of Israel) were very jealous.  His brothers pretended that he was killed and sold him to some slavers.  He became a household servant and then was unjustly accused of a crime against his master.  He was thrown into a dungeon for an unknown period of time.  It would at this point be justified by most people to say, “Why me?” or “Why does GOD hate me?” but according to the story, Joseph retained his faith in GOD and because he was able to explain to a person in the dungeon what a dream really meant, the Pharaoh spoke with Joseph and because Joseph could explain Pharaoh’s dream when no one else could, Joseph was made the second most powerful person in the Egyptian empire at the time.  Who would have thought the only way to this exalted, powerful position would be by being sold as a slave and going to prison. Trust is to human relationships what faith is to gospel living. It is the beginning place, the foundation upon which more can be built. Where trust is, love can flourish.  Barbara Smith Most times we think of GOD in human terms.  It’s natural, we’re in human bodies.  But we need to look inside to the SPIRIT that is inside of ourselves.  GOD is limitless, there are no boundaries, there isn’t  time or space involved with GOD.  He is outside of these human definitions.  And if we allow ourselves we can reach out (or in) to allow ourselves to be one with him for just a moment and that moment will expand our minds and our spirits to let us know WE ARE NOT ALONE, WE ARE UNCONDITIONALLY LOVED. Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.  Jesus Christ Love and Blessings,  Sunday, 7/14/2014 Today is the second part in the series on how to pursue spiritual enlightenment in today’s busy world, or realizing the wonderful, spiritual being you really are today. Our topic is Focus!  Where is your focus?  Is your focus your family, career, spirituality, politics, food, sports, technology, or wealth?  It is possible to have more than one focus in your life.  So if you answered, “yes”, for several of the subjects listed, you are like most people. But I’m here today to tell you that your spirituality needs to be a close 2nd in your goals if not 1st.  A healthy spiritual life can bring benefits to your health, happiness, and satisfaction with life in general.  It can help you be more successful in your career and make you the kind of family member you will be proud to be. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin- we are not physical beings having a spiritual experience but spiritual beings having a physical experience. First of all, what is focus and how do we do it?  Focus is when we look at our behavior each day, and then determine which actions will accomplish our goals.  It does require personal discipline or self-control but don’t let that overwhelm you.  You can begin with baby steps.  It’s very difficult to focus on goals if our minds are scattered or confused from lack of rest.  So let’s start with finding ways to relax for short periods of time.  Some of the greatest industrial giants would close their office door and grab 10 minutes in the middle of the day-a ”power break” they would call it.  Maybe during lunch take 5 minutes to find a quiet spot to just close your eyes and relax before jumping back into the busy day. Many people use this time as part of the spiritual goals by setting some time for prayer or meditation on a daily basis.  You know in your heart what will work for you and what won’t so as Nike says, “Just do it!” Don't dwell on what went wrong. Instead, focus on what to do next. Spend your energies on moving forward toward finding the answer.-Denis Waitley Don’t focus on the distractions, the excuses of why you can’t do it, but focus on what you will do next to achieve your spiritual goals, whether it is daily prayer, meditation, special events, visitation to those in need, volunteering, or finding a group of like-minded souls.  There are a thousand ways to reach the goal and another’s way may not be yours so don’t try to be a cookie cutter thinking that it seems to work for them so it will work for you.  Look into your heart, pray, meditate and then decide how best to achieve your goals.  If you have done any traveling, you know that without direction or a map you can end up in the strangest places, sometimes good, but very often not. The more choices we have, the greater the need for focus.-Tom Butler-Bowdon A typical day can be choked with 50 things you must do many of them have nothing to do with your focus for your goals.  With focus days can be more meaningful and distractions kept to a minimum.  You can gain control of your life and stop that feeling that you are a guinea pig on a wheel and not getting anywhere. We can always choose to perceive things differently. You can focus on what's wrong in your life, or you can focus on what's right.-Marianne Williamson First thing tomorrow see if you can name five things that are distractions.  Focus on removing one of those distractions from your daily life and add one action to moving you closer to the spiritual being you really are.  It doesn’t require a large move, baby steps are allowed.  Just do it! It's not what's happening to you now or what has happened in your past that determines who you become. Rather, it's your decisions about what to focus on, what things mean to you, and what you're going to do about them that will determine your ultimate destiny.-Anthony Robbins Love and Blessings,  Monday, 7/27/2014 Today we’re going to talk about Forgiveness!  In your pursuit of Spiritual Enlightenment in a busy world, this is going to be a major tool to moving your spiritual life forward.  I will talk about the physical and emotional problems of not forgiving and also the karmic results of not forgiving.  I hope to provide some solutions to how we all can learn to forgive on a regular basis throughout each day of our lives. Forgiveness is not an occasional act, it is a constant attitude.  Martin Luther King Jr. When would you need to forgive?  When, of course, you feel anger, resentment, hate, or even insulted, slighted, or overlooked (intentionally or unintentionally).  Many times you are right and you have not been treated very nice.  But other times, the way we have been treated can be distorted due to our emotions at the time, miscommunications, or both of you being in the wrong place at the right time (that’s just a phrase as I don’t believe in anyone is ever in the wrong place.  We are always just where we were meant to be at any given moment.) Forgiveness is a virtue of the brave.  Indira Gandhi Let’s take a look at the physical implications of negative emotions such as anger, hate and resentment.  Anger takes place in the portion of the brain called the amygdala which is at the back of the brain and immediately the frontal lobe over the left eye is stimulated to basically use logic.  These two are supposed to balance each other out.  The anger is stimulated for about 2 seconds (that is why we’re told to count to 10 before doing anything when you feel moved by anger).  Now the activity in the amygdala is our fight or flight syndrome which has helped the human species survive, but when it is too active bad things, toxic things begin to happen. In fact, not forgiving is like drinking rat poison and then waiting for the rat to die. Anne Lamott, Traveling Mercies: Some Thoughts on Faith (1999) People with chronic anger may not produce acetylcholine, a hormone needed to curb the effects of adrenaline.  So the nervous system is constantly or very often in high gear and can become overtaxed.  This by itself can lead to a weakened heart, hardening of the arteries, and cause liver or kidney damage as well as high cholesterol.  But there’s more, in 1 study of 13,000 individuals with the highest levels of anger, they were found to have twice the risk of coronary artery disease, and 3 times the risk of a heart attack compared to those with relatively low levels of anger.  Scientists believe that chronic anger is a greater risk than smoking or obesity and leads to an early death. To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.  Lewis B. Smedes Suppression of these negative emotions can cause the production of the hormone Cortisol which is linked to stress.  Cortisol has been found to suppress the immune system which can allow normal cells to mutate and form cancers.  So if we aren’t supposed to act on our negative emotions (not in any civilized society) and suppressing these negative emotions can cause us to get sick over time, what do we do??? The truth is, unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize that the situation is over, you cannot move forward.  Steve Maraboli, Unapologetically You: Reflections on Life and the Human Experience That’s right, WE FORGIVE!  We forgive them and try to understand that for some reason we needed the experience to learn and grow.  God works in mysterious ways and sees the Big Picture that we don’t.  Many times the experiences we go through enable us to grow and help others in ways we would never have believed before the experience.  We now can see through the eyes of those we are helping and can relate to their pain and help them to put it behind them and move on.  I’m not kidding myself.  Moving on is not always a very easy thing to do, but it is the right thing and the only thing we can do to find lasting peace. Forgiveness is not always easy. At times, it feels more painful than the wound we suffered, to forgive the one that inflicted it. And yet, there is no peace without forgiveness.  Marianne Williamson For my Karmic Brothers and Sisters: We not only forgive them for the experience we went through but we forgive ourselves that we didn’t understand the lesson and needed to learn it the hard way.  We take a good look at the experience and try to learn everything we can from the experience.  In the Karmic view, we planned before we came into this life the experiences we needed to go through so we could learn certain things.  We made plans with the group of souls that travel together with us about how we would help each other to learn these lessons and interact with each other as well as eliminate karma.  Each of us is here for a reason and a purpose.  When Jesus healed a blind man, he was asked who had sinned, this man or his parents that he was born blind.  Jesus told them it was “for the Glory of GOD” that he had been born that way.  So the man would be there for Jesus to heal and show the power of GOD and the possibilities.  It’s not easy to forgive!  Believe me I know that, sometimes you may have to do it over and over again until you really do it and live it.  But it is the only thing that will allow you to move forward with your life, find peace and not be killing yourself slowly by creating poisons in your own body through negative feelings and thoughts. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.  Martin Luther King, Jr. Every man and woman on this planet is your brother and sister.  What happens to one is like a pebble thrown into a pond causing ripples of effect to all the rest of us.  Only Love can change another person’s attitude or understanding.  Hate won’t do it.  It only creates more problems for all of us.  Hate is a derivative of fear, which is actually the polar opposite of Love, not hate. Again, it’s not easy to forgive.  It’s not for the weak minded, or the faint of heart.  Only the brave and strong willed can forgive, but everyone can learn to be brave and strong willed by learning THROUGH LOVE ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.  Call upon your angels for help and they will help you.  They are all around you at this moment wanting to help but can’t unless you ask.  Ask for that help of your angels and the Holy Spirit who is always there with you also to guide you and show you the way to GOD’s TRUTH, to LOVE! When you forgive, you love. And when you love, God’s light shines upon you. Jon Krakauer, Into the Wild Love and Blessings, Wednesday, 10/1/2014 Today we’re going to talk about Timeout – in a good way!  In your pursuit of Spiritual Enlightenment in a busy world, this is going to be a major tool to moving your spiritual life forward. In a “hurry up”, “1 minute rice” (who’s got that much time), “if I don’t do it, who’s going to do it”, age; taking TIMEOUT” is especially important for your physical and mental health as well as the health of your relationships.  The cemeteries are full of busy people who had a lot of money, never lived their life and have a nice obituary.   If you run yourself into the ground meeting all the urgent requests for your help, you’ll not be any good to anyone when you hit the wall.  That wall can come without notice and catch you unprepared which will cause you to miss more time from work then you would if you take a time out.  You need that time off to recover your energy, refresh your perspective, and find your center again. The man who doesn't relax and hoot a few hoots voluntarily, now and then, is in great danger of hooting hoots and standing on his head for the edification of the pathologist and trained nurse, a little later on.  ~Elbert Hubbard You can do it in many ways; some people will do it daily by visiting the park during lunch to meditate and to regain some sanity before going back to the “fun factory”.  Others will plan day trips on the weekend to try to make life more fun and help maintain relationships. There must be quite a few things that a hot bath won't cure, but I don't know many of them.  ~Sylvia Plath, The Bell Jar Sometimes daily trips to the park or occasional day trips on the weekend aren’t enough to get rid of the urgency, stress, and feeling that we are on an endless treadmill and don’t have the option to turn it off.  When we feel that we are not replaceable, nothing will get done without us, overwhelmed with responsibility and tasks; this is the exact time to say STOP! Men for the sake of getting a living forget to live.  ~Margaret Fuller No one can get inner peace by pouncing on it.  ~Harry Emerson Fosdick Stop!  Yes, Stop the Insanity!  Are you destroying your health?  Are you destroying the relationship with the people that are most important in your life?  Are you missing the most important moments in your children’s lives?  When was the last time you meditated?  When was the last time you prayed?  Do you feel centered or does your energy feel scattered, unfocused?  Do a TIME OUT!  If you don’t have the finances, stay home but get out of the house.  Visit nature by going for a walk and siting on a rock and grounding yourself.  Close your eyes and feel GOD’s energy coming down to you through the crown of your head, down your spine, and deep into the earth taking all the negative energy you’ve been retaining from you busy work schedule.  Don’t worry, Mother Earth will convert it into positive energy.  Just keep breathing in GOD’s energy through the top of your head out the first chakra or your feet and into the earth feeling yourself clear of negativity, stress, and allowing yourself to feel lighter and filled with more energy with every breath.  Thank GOD and Mother Earth for helping you to rid yourself of the negativity and recover your energy level. To be "on edge," you are literally not centered — not being in your spiritual center. ~Carrie Latet If you can take a week or more on vacation to a place you’ve been meaning to visit that will allow you to have fun and truly relax.  Even a full weekend away can do wonders to help restore your perspective and energy levels. Recently, my wife and I took a weekend to get away and do just that.  We went to Niagara Falls.  What a beautiful place and one of GOD’s true wonders.  You can hear the thunder of the falls and the mists drifting off of them for blocks away.  I have included a section of pictures of our trip to Niagara Falls for your viewing under the link “PLACES”.  Please take your timeout soon. Love and Blessings,  Tuesday, 6/23/2015 I’ve said before that GOD IS LOVE!  PURE LOVE!  But then how do we account for a dualistic world/universe in which we live, that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.  Although some of us operate from a center of LOVE, fear, hate and despair seem to be everywhere we look. As Children of God, we are able to manifest, sometimes almost without realizing it’s happening.  In fact, most of the time without realizing it’s happening.  Most of the time, the manifestation that takes place is something that is most on our minds over that period of time. Now all of us are connected, but still there are a lot of us not trying to connect with their brothers and sisters; and operating as if they are alone, only thinking about themselves, or operating from a Fear Center instead of a Love Center in their lives.  What do you think that manifests?  Darkness, chaos, negativity, hate, pain, depression, war, anger are the results of this kind of manifestation. How can there be darkness/evil in the world if GOD created it?  The only things that GOD creates are perfect in every way.  If GOD created us, and there is darkness/evil in us then there must be darkness/evil in GOD.  That is NOT TRUE!  GOD IS LOVE!  That is true above all other truths. Let’s look at another view for a moment.  If you have a dream that a friend of yours stole something from you but you know that it’s not true, would you consider your friend to be dark/evil?  Of course not, that would be wrong of you to blame your friend for something he does in your dream. Well, what if multiple people are dreaming the same dream.  Would the other people be able to see or experience what you may manifest in that dream?  Group experiments with LSD, have shown that others can see or experience changes that are manifested by people on LSD in the room.  If one person wants the lights in the room to all be blue or red, then all the people in the room will begin experiencing the light changing colors.  It is possible for a person to project to others in the room feelings from an experience they are concentrating on. For more info on dreaming, look up Eckankar or Lucid Dreaming. What if all of us are dreaming?  Sounds pretty sci-fi, I know, but stay with me.  We don’t have bodies and we have manifested this universe ourselves in our dream.  That would explain the chaos that is occurring in this world and universe.  That would allow you to forgive someone easier because it’s a dream, so why hold something against them that didn’t happen?  No need for Karma because it didn’t happen.  But still it may have been something you needed to learn so that’s always a good thing and that’s why it happened.  Learn from it, send love to those involved, forgive (often forgiveness helps with closure) and move on. The darkness/evil that exists in the dream is created by us and others in the dream that we are dreaming.  So what do you do about the darkness/evil if you are confronted by it in the dream?  You never give in to darkness/evil but shield yourself and express yourself with Love/Truth/Light.  Send a spear of light to pierce the darkness/evil with the Love/Truth/Light.  Chop its head off with Archangel Michael’s sword of Love/Truth/Light and visualize another head in its place that is full of Love/Truth/Light.  Turn the darkness/evil back on itself with a reflecting shield of Love/Truth/Light.  It has been foretold that ALL, even those in darkness that consider themselves evil will eventually turn back and return to the Source, GOD.   Darkness/evil is a tool in this dream for us to learn from, when there is no need for this tool it will disappear and all of us will awaken from the dream.  How can one learn to do right if there is no choice to do wrong? We are the CHILDREN of GOD, we MANIFEST, we CREATE and we are in CONTROL of OUR PATH. So why don’t we wake up?  Why doesn’t GOD wake us up?  Where are we if we are dreaming?  These are good questions and answers will be coming.  This is just a very brief note about manifestation and darkness/evil.  Entire libraries could be written on this subject from different perspectives.  Search your heart for your truth.  Everyone is at different points in the path or on different paths.  But the destination of the paths are the same, to be reunited with GOD. Love and Blessings,
